STUDY FOR THE OAKES MUSEUM AT MESSIAH COLLEGE
Messiah College, Grantham, PA
The 10,000 sq. ft. museum, located on the first two floors of the college's Jordan Science Center, is home to a collection of Smithsonian-quality African and North American mammals, bird eggs, fish, seashells, minerals, insects and fossils.  Schiller and Hersh was retained to conduct a study of the humidity issues that have been causing deterioration of museum artifacts.  A new HVAC system will be designed to meet museum-level indoor air quality and humidity standards.
