JEVS is a not-for-profit social service agency providing education, training, health, and rehabilitation programs for the community. Our firm was responsible for the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications systems design for its new 88,000 sq. ft. training facility in Northeast Philadelphia . The building is designed for vocational training and houses numerous specialized classrooms for skilled labor education such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, carpentry, etc.
- Trades classrooms were designed with complicated electrical safety shut-down systems and air-cleaning systems
- This was a very fast-track design process, taking only about two months to complete
